Welcome to the Abingdon Venture Rescue Website.

AVR is a Search and Rescue Team founded by several Venture Scouts in the early 80's to provide service to the community and to help Venture Scouts gain their Venture Scout Award and Queen Scout Award.

AVR carries out First Aid duties at both Scouting and Public events such as Fetes, Horse Shows, National Charity Cycle Rides, fun runs and football tournaments.

AVR is also available to assist the local community in times of need, and recently assisted the emergency services during the flooding in Abingdon.
